Moon Battle is a clone of a classic game from 1983. Compared to the simpler invader clones of the early invader generation, Moon Battle is much more extensive and features slightly more complex gameplay.

The player controls a spaceship that constantly fires forward, with its engines always turned on—though this doesn't necessarily cause acceleration. The goal is to survive the enemies and dangers encountered in each level while simultaneously trying to eliminate as many enemies as possible. The game requires strategic thinking and quick reactions to handle various threats and achieve a high score.
